A work in progress

A work in Progress

A work in Progress

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Paul was confident that Philippians uphold the highest regards to perseverance and sanctification.  "the action or process of being freed from sin or purified." the process of sanctification takes deliberate action on our part".

They are working on these areas with a real deal.” They  really mean business with the Lord. For they are branded as a “church in action” they supported the ministry, Paul, and other church workers to advance the kingdom of God.

We are not to wait around unchanged. Seeing Christ as the end goal, the faithful Christian will seek to grow in godliness until the day Jesus returns-  (connect us)

What is happening is, is that you have become a work in progress.

* The grace of God is doing a work in your heart and life.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own                   but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

John 16:13

“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified” (Ro 8:29-30).

The progressive work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Philippians

1. Assured of Salvation

All over again we are assured that we are saved by the Grace of God Jesus Christ and not              slaves of fear and doubt. We are adopted sons of God by Grace.

2. Acknowledge  Gods working power

God is about His breaking into our awareness of Him and drawing us toward Himself.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us Romans 5:1

3. Saved to Grow

If we were saved, then we are saved to grow. God doesn’t save anyone and then not turn them        into the likeness of his Son in one way or another.

If you consider yourself a Christian but have no real desire to change and become like Christ, go and cry out to God. You either need to be genuinely saved, or you need him to lift whatever deception from your eyes makes you think anything other than, “To live is Christ” (Phil 1:21).

Conclusion

I am a work in progress by The grace of God in my life, in my relationship in my ministry, in my family in my workplace.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14.Are you one with this goal? where are you right now?  Do you want to submit to God's working power to change your life?
